Best Practices

The Best Practices section is found under Report Sections → Best-Practices.tex in the LaTeX sidebar. It presents a curated list of the energy efficiency and manufacturing practices already in place at the facility, giving the client credit for what they are doing well before the report moves into recommendations.

What to Do

The LaTeX file contains the full list of several possible best practices as pre-written bullet points. All you have to do is delete the lines that do not apply to this facility. What remains should reflect only what was actually observed or confirmed.

How to Decide What to Keep

If you are unsure whether a practice applies (i.e. you recall seeing something on the walkthrough but aren't certain), consult the other students who attended the assessment before including or removing that item. Only include practices that were confirmed for this facility. Do not leave in items simply because they seem plausible or common for the industry. Misrepresenting what the facility is currently doing undermines the credibility of the report.
